I fished this morning with JW and Jamie from Lake Tillery NC. We fished the Lockwood Folly Inlet and River and caught 5 Flounder, 1 Speckled Trout and Blues. We had a good time. Click here for picture.

I fished today with Dr. Walter from Hickory, NC. It was a beautiful morning on the water. We fished the Shallotte River and creeks and caught 6 flounder. On the way back to my home, I saw 4 does and a nice buck swimming across the Intracoastal Waterway. I took some pictures but didn't get too close to panic them. Click here for the pictures.

I fished this morning with Lloyd from Fla and Albert from Tenn. We fished the Lockwood Folly Inlet and River. We caught 6 with one being a 15 incher. The water is clearing- let's hope we don't get much this weekend. Click here for picture.

I fished today with Bob, John and David from Cary NC and Paul from Atlana Ga. We fished Tubbs Inlet, Shallotte Inlet and the Shallotte River. The water is still looks like Tea from the 30 inches of rain in the last 30 days. We had a nice day on the water. Click here for picture.

I fished this morning with Bill from Boone, NC. We fished in the Lockwood Folly River and Inlet. We caught 5 flounder before the dark water took over on low tide. It is getting better. It was a nice and cool morning on the water. Click here for picture.

I fished today with Marvin and Bobby from Holden Beach. We caught 4 with 2 being nice fish before the water turned to tea on the following tide. The water is clearing after Ophelia and should be good next week. Click here for picture.

I fished today with the boys from Harnett county, Cary, Jerald, Mark and Bryan. We traveled down the waterway to Tubbs Inlet and caught 7 Flounder. The wind was out of the NE at 7 to 20. We had a good time. Click here for picture.

I fished this morning with Kevin, Ron and Ray from Charlotte, NC. We fished the Shallotte River and Inlet. The wind was howling. We caught 5 flounder, a croaker, a lizard fish, a bungee cord and a screendoor. And even had time for Ron to be stung by a red wasp blown in from who-knows-where! Click here for picture.

I fished 1/2 a day with Jim from PA and Roxanne and son Nathan from St Paul MN. We fished the Shallotte River and caught 2 flounder with one being a keeper. I fished today with Lee and boys, Nick and Brennan from Greensboro, NC. We went out the Lockwood Folly Inlet and trolled to the Yaupon reef, then cruised back around Ft. Caswell and the Southport area, then headed back down the waterway. We caught 16 nice Spanish. Click here for picture.

I fished this morning with Gene and Beverly from Statesville NC. The water is still dirty from the 11 inches of rain we have had in the last couple of weeks. We fished the Shallotte Inlet and followed the clear water as it moved into the Shallotte River. We caught one really nice 19 1/2 inch flounder for their dinner. We had a good time. I fished today with Joe and daughter Emily from Haggerstown Md. We fished the Shallotte River and caught 3 nice keepers. A 14 3/4, a 15 and a 16-inch fish. It was hot but the T-Top and Gatorade kept us cool. We had a good time. Click here for picture.

I fished this morning with Bill, Steve, Michael, Nat and Jim from Chicago and Alan from Charlotte. We went to Lockwood Folly Inlet and the sorghum grass was so bad you couldn't fish. We moved to Lockwood Folly River where the water was so dirty from the rains. We then decided to move to the Shallotte River and caught a 13 1/2 inch flounder. I fished today with Terry from Savannah, Ga and Holden Beach. We cruised down the waterway to Tubbs Inlet and caught 17 flounder with 2 being a 16 incher and a 15 1/2 incher. I fished today with Dan and Terry from Chambersburg Pa. I picked them up at the Ocean Isle Public Ramp and we went to Tubbs Inlet. We caught 12 Flounder with 3 being really nice thick ones. We threw back a lot of 13 1/2 to 13 3/4 inch fish. We also caught a nice Speckled Trout. We had lunch at the Giggling Mackerel. We have a good time every year. Click here for picture.

I fished today with Doug and Pat from Millville PA. It was a hot day. We started out in Lockwood Folly Inlet and moved to the Shallotte Inlet after lunch at Provisions at Holden Beach. I fished today with Dr. Haywood from Greensboro, NC and Will, Mitch and Phil from Norcross, GA. We fished the Shallotte River in the morning and the Lockwood Folly river in the afternoon. I fished today with Mike and Angela from Durham, NC. We have had alot of rain in the past week and it has slowed the bite down but the percentage of keepers has picked up. I fished today with Lloyd from Jacksonville, Fla. and Albert from Knoxville, TN. I picked them up in the rain and dropped them off after a half-day of fishing in the rain. My sons Kevin and Matthew and I went out after lunch and fished at Tubbs Inlet. We caught 9 flounder, with 4 being 19", 18 1/2", 16" and 15". The water temp ranged from 61.9 to 65.6; the wind was 10-20 out of SW. For those that like to fish before it gets so hot, it feels good on the water now! Click here for picture.

I went to Clark Hill Reservoir in Georgia with Hugh (uncle of Guy Eaker), Dean, and Ben. Check out the monster striper that Hugh caught! What a trip! It was 15 degrees when we put the boat in the water. What a way to kick off 2005!
